As I write this, she is fussing in her crib, ready to be picked up

Letter from a patient

When my husband and I first reached out to CHR it was after a year and a half of IVF failures at a clinic where we live locally. My older sister had success with CHR (and became pregnant after years of trying without even having to undergo IVF) and we felt that CHR was our last resort.

At the young age of 30 I had poor egg quality and a whole host of other immune related issues impacting my fertility including an inability to build up a thick enough uterine lining for an embryo to implant. Not only that, my husband had some male factor infertility. We had seriously considered donor eggs, donor sperm, donor embryos, gestational carrier, etc. by the time we reached out.

However, Dr. Gleicher told us that he believed it was possible for us to conceive and carry a biological child and, knowing him to be a straight shooter, we persisted. It took several rounds of IVF and almost a year working with CHR, but we finally did conceive and were able to carry our beautiful baby girl Eliana to term.

As I write this she is fussing in her crib, ready to be picked up as always. Dr. Gleicher and the entire CHR team (special thanks to my nurse, Magda) are simply incredible. The research Dr. Gleicher has done and continues to do was crucial in understanding the causes of my infertility and treating it. The medical knowledge from that research is cutting edge and simply found nowhere else. CHR knows their stuff, they are professional, they respond to emails/calls timely, and will bend over backward to help you get the medicine you need, treatment you need, etc.

I truly appreciated also that CHR was so willing to work with my local clinic so that I only had to travel to NYC for the actual procedures I had done. I believe with all of my heart that without Dr. Gleicher I would not have been able to conceive and carry a child and it is to him and the entire CHR team that my husband and I owe this beautiful life that we now get to share with our daughter.
For anyone out there wondering whether CHR is the place for them and whether it is worth it — the answer is YES. There is no place better, more knowledgeable, more professional, with better medical care than CHR.
God, through CHR, has answered our prayers finally and our lives will never be the same for it. Thank you, thank you, thank you CHR. Words will never be enough to thank you for what you have done for us.
