Why Choose CHR to Freeze Your Eggs

What’s the Best Clinic to Freeze Your Eggs?

CHR is a comprehensive fertility center that fully manages egg freezing, storage, and thawing in-house and reports its outcomes publicly to CDC and SART. We are diligent in our egg freezing protocols and committed to the main objective: maximizing the likelihood of a healthy pregnancy if the patient needs to use her frozen eggs later in life.

Where You Freeze Your Eggs Matters

When a woman chooses to freeze her eggs, the most important thing is that the eggs are in good condition, should she choose to use them later to become pregnant. Not all centers performing egg freezing are made equal, and egg freezing can be performed well or poorly. So, where you freeze your eggs matters. The methods of developing, freezing, storing, and thawing eggs are all important factors in achieving pregnancy with frozen eggs in the future.

CHR is Committed to Excellent Care While (and After) Freezing Your Eggs

How a woman’s ovaries are stimulated to develop eggs for retrieval is essential in determining ultimate egg quality, and how an embryology laboratory cryopreserves eggs is the single most important aspect of how well they will thaw for IVF.

CHR’s Egg Freezing Program offers:

  • Counseling by experienced physicians
  • Comprehensive informed consent process
  • Personalized egg freezing programs, tailored by expert physicians to suit each woman’s exact needs
  • Excellent laboratory with experience in both freezing and thawing of eggs and embryos, as well as subsequent IVF
  • Storage of frozen eggs right here at our center
  • Accountability, follow-up and quality control during the entire storage period
  • Affordable egg freezing cost structure, starting at $4,000 for one cycle
  • Economical package pricing for multiple cycles and egg number goals

What You Need to Know About Freezing Your Eggs

Unfortunately, egg freezing has become highly commercialized, and many fertility clinics are not upfront with their patients about the state of the science of egg freezing. Today, some fertility clinics are now primarily or exclusively focused on offering egg freezing cycles, and outsource to cryobanks for frozen egg storage.

Unlike IVF cycles, egg freezing cycles do not require the same levels of reporting to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The result is a lack of follow-up and quality control, and a risk that the frozen eggs do not produce successful pregnancies down the road.

Getting on a “commercial bandwagon” has never been CHR’s way of doing things, and our patients have greatly benefitted from this approach for over three decades.

Like the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), CHR still considers egg freezing an experimental procedure (except in cases of cancer). This means that accurate outcome data on pregnancy with frozen eggs are either lacking or inadequate at this time, and we advise patients deciding to freeze their eggs accordingly.
