December 2019 CHR VOICE Digest

Young Investigator Award ceremony, lecture hall, exhibition hall and final group shot from FRM 2019.

The second half of November at CHR, as in recent years, was again significantly affected by the annual Foundation for Reproductive Medicine Conference (FRMC), covering reproductive biology and clinical reproductive endocrinology subjects with potential translational opportunities for clinical practice (some photos below). In its 4th year, this conference has become a mainstay in the ever-increasing worldwide conference schedule in reproductive medicine and, despite a record number of competing events this year in the same month, attracted again a large crowd of registrants from all over the world. CHR has been a co-sponsor of this conference since its inception and, though the conference ran only between November 21 and 24, preparations occupied many CHR staff members for quite some time before the start of the conference.

We are pleased to report that the reviews for this year’s conference even exceeded prior years’ superb reviews; this should not surprise, considering this year’s selection of speakers. Over 40 invited speakers from all over the world not only represented the leading research laboratories and clinical provider organizations in the field, but also presented the absolutely newest developments in laboratories as well as clinical practice. Indeed, much of the presented data were still unpublished and will have considerable immediate effects on clinical practice in the specialty once they appear in print.

Next year’s FRMC is, as usual, scheduled for the weekend before Thanksgiving, which will be November 19-22, 2020, and to our colleagues all around the world, we suggest you reserve these dates for a visit to NY in the beautiful pre-Christmas season.
